The coupling is mainly composed of a ball cage outer ring, a star-shaped inner ring, a cage and a force-transmitting steel ball. The ball cage outer ring and the star-shaped inner ring are closely connected to the master and slave shafts respectively. The centers of the force-transmitting steel balls are all located in the plane passing through the center of the coupling and are placed in the raceway composed of the outer spherical grooves of the spherical outer ring and the outer spherical grooves of the star-shaped inner ring. The centers of the two spherical surfaces coincide with the center of the universal coupling. To ensure that the centers of all steel balls are on the bisector of the angle between the axes of the two shafts, the steel balls are cleverly installed in the window of the cage. Such an ingenious design ensures that when the angle between the master and slave shafts of the coupling changes, the force transmission point can always be accurately located on the bisector of the angle, thereby ensuring perfect synchronization of the speed between the master and slave shafts. ​
