Elastic Couplings

Elastic couplings are flexible mechanical devices designed to transmit torque while accommodating shaft misalignment, absorbing shocks, and reducing vibration. They use elastic elements to provide flexibility and cushioning between the driving and driven shafts. Based on structural differences and application needs, elastic couplings are commonly categorized into types such as Elastic Pin Couplings, Tire Couplings, Jaw Couplings, Oldham Couplings, and Bellows Couplings.

Common Structural Types
Elastic Pin Couplings: Use multiple elastic pins to connect the two hubs. Simple in design and suitable for general-purpose industrial transmission.
Tire Couplings: Feature a rubber tire element that provides high torsional flexibility, ideal for systems with significant misalignment or impact loads.
Jaw Couplings: Consist of interlocking jaws and an elastic spider insert. Accurate in positioning and commonly used for small to medium power transmission.
Oldham Couplings: Use a sliding middle block to connect the shafts. Suitable for moderate speeds and torque, with good axial misalignment compensation.
Bellows Couplings: Utilize metal bellows to transmit torque with high precision. Compact and accurate, they are ideal for servo systems and precision machinery.
