Basic Structure
The RSK-ltz type can be viewed as a functional composite of a "Type RSK-ltz Coupling" and a "Brake Wheel". Its main components include:
Brake Wheel Half-Coupling: The key distinguishing component. Typically made of high-strength gray cast iron or cast steel. Its outer circumference is machined to provide a high-precision, low-surface-roughness cylindrical friction surface serving as the brake disc for a disc brake. The wheel rim often features cooling vents and stiffening ribs to improve heat dissipation and increase rigidity.
The Other Half-Coupling: A standard half-coupling (flange type) of the regular RSK-lt type.
Pins and Flexible Bushes: Identical to the RSK-lt type. The pins (made of 45# steel) are fixed at one end to the brake wheel half-coupling. The other end passes through rubber or polyurethane flexible bushes and inserts into the holes of the other half-coupling. The flexible bushes provide force transmission, cushioning, and compensation.
Sealing and Protective Components: Including dust covers, sealing rings, etc., used to protect the brake wheel friction surface from oil and dust contamination.
Key Characteristics
High Functional Integration, Saves Space and Cost:
Combines the coupling and brake wheel into one unit, eliminating the need for a separate brake wheel mounting hub, connecting key, and alignment procedure. This greatly simplifies the axial layout of the drive train and reduces overall manufacturing cost and installation complexity.
Direct, Efficient Braking with Fast Response:
The brake wheel is rigidly connected to the drive shaft. The braking torque generated by the brake (typically a hydraulic or electromagnetic disc brake) acts directly on the transmission system without intermediate loss, ensuring fast braking response, safety, and reliability.
Possesses Good Transmission Performance:
Inherits the advantages of the LT type coupling: can compensate for certain axial, radial, and angular misalignment; the rubber flexible bushes provide excellent vibration damping and cushioning, protecting motors and equipment from shock; requires no lubrication, simplifying maintenance.
Standardization and Strong Interchangeability:
As a national standard product, its dimensions, torque ratings, and brake wheel specifications are serialized, facilitating selection, procurement, spare parts stocking, and good compatibility with standard brakes.
Primary Application Fields
The RSK-ltz type is the "standard configuration for small and medium-sized lifting and transportation machinery", particularly suitable for:
Overhead Cranes, Gantry Cranes: Travel mechanisms of the bridge and trolley, and hoisting mechanisms of small cranes.
Electric Hoists: Transmission and braking of the drive wheel assembly.
Belt Conveyors, Bucket Elevators: Input shaft end of the drive unit.
Light Industrial, Warehousing, and Logistics Equipment: Various conveying and slewing mechanisms requiring positioning and braking.
